audio temporarily cuts out for a few seconds

My Genie remote control controls the volume on my Denon AVR-1910 receiver, but wont turn it on & off. When I go to setup the remote i select my exact DENON model and then it says it wont work now, but try later. ***???

AH! Never thought of that as I don't have a Sony TV. I'll try entering a fake TV model and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

What additional info do you need?

It does a similar reset / reboot with YouTube and Amazon video when connected via WiFi with the ethernet cable unplugged.

I am exchanging it.

How about ....

DirecTV DVR/Receiver model number(s)?
If you have multiple DVR/Receivers, are they all doing this?
How is the DVR/Receiver's Audio OUT connected to your HDTV? Or is it connected to AV Surround Receiver or Soundbar? How?
Have you always had this problem?
What channels have this problem?

Is this an RC71 or RC72 Genie Remote? Those models cannot control power on/off for any audio devices.

you need to do an IP address RESERVATION so the GenieGo always get the same IP addy

I assigned it a reservation. It isn’t holding it, though.

did you go the to the DHCP reservations under the Network tab on your AE Utility?

Is your AE your only router? Explain your network configuration....

Yes, I did go to DHCP reservations on the base station for AE. I’m on version 5.6 of Airport Utility

AE is my base station router. I have an Airport Express out on the porch. It is in Bridge Mode.

I keep getting a coax not connected and internet not connected error with a #9 in parentheses.

I have a Genie HR44-700 that I have in a closet. My remote is RC66RX and it won't allow me to put in RF mode. Do I need I different remote and will a RF remote work with the receiver in a closet with door shut? Right know, when I am watching tv I have to have closet door open. Receiver is only 12' from where i sit.

I wasn't posting for OP... I was posting for the countless other people who might stumble upon this thread and see a problem similar to what they are experiencing (as I did) and not see a solution... so I wanted to post the solution I discovered so people could at least research their specific problems with additional information to guide them.

You'll need an RC71 or RC72 remote if you want to control that HR44 in your closet. The HR44 uses a different RF remote protocol than other DirecTV Receivers/DVRs.

Those readings could be a tad bit higher, but you should be getting HD channels. How do you know you're not getting them?

What model(s) DirecTV DVRs/Receivers do you have?

Is this happening on all of them?

How is the "bad" DVR connected to your HDTV? Or it connected to an AV Surround Receiver or Soundbar? How?
